Principal's Message

Dear Skycrest Families,

Welcome back to a new school year! We are excited to begin this journey together and look forward to partnering with you to ensure every student is supported, challenged, and successful. Our focus this year is working together—staff and families—to meet each individual student’s needs through positive communication, collaboration, and a shared commitment to student growth.

Regular attendance and arriving on time and staying for the full school day are essential to your child’s success. Every minute of instruction matters, and we appreciate your support in ensuring students are present and ready to learn each day.

Come meet your child’s teacher and find their classroom!

To ensure a safe and smooth start to each day:

  • Breakfast is served from 8:25–8:55 a.m.
  • Students should not be dropped off before 8:25 a.m., as supervision is not available
  • We will continue our morning walking routine from 8:40–8:55 a.m.
  • Please follow all parking lot procedures and be mindful of staff directing traffic to keep everyone safe and to not interrupt the flow of traffic

  • Everyone is in a hurry in the morning and during dismissal be polite to each other

If you are interested in coordinating ridesharing with other families to help with drop-off and pick-up, please feel free to reach out—I am happy to help connect with families.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we will make this a wonderful and successful school year for all of our Skycrest Stars!

Warmly,

Suzanne Landuyt
